Casablanca Top Attractions

Casablanca. . . "a kiss is not a kiss in Casablanca"


Casablanca, known to be the Morocco‘s port city and commercial hub in western part. The place has a lot of diverse things to visit, with the city’s French colonial legacy mixed with the traditional Arab culture, I am pretty sure that you will enjoy the scenery of Casablanca. The structures were of Mauresque architecture, it is a blend of Moorish style and European art decorations. Here are the places and top attractions that visitors can find, which I had visited, and I assure you, that you will enjoy the tour.


If you want to access the different places of Casablanca, aside from buses and taxi, you can also ride through the Casa Tramway. To view the tram lines and destinations, here is the website (www.casatramway.ma). The tram runs every 15 minutes, with the first and last departures from the terminal is at 5.30am and 10.30 in the evening, respectively. The tickets cost only 7 dirhams for a single trip.




















Hassan II Mosque

The mosque was completed in the year 1993 and is situated overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The Hassan II Mosque was considered the second-largest mosque in the world. It is open to even to non-Muslim for guided tours. The mosque is a spectacular and gaudy piece of architecture with a 210m tall minaret.































Mohammed V Square

Try also to visit the Mohammed V Square, located in center of the city and it was built in 1920. The Palace of Justice, Lyautey's statue, the fountain and the different buildings including the Consulate of France, the courthouse, the prefecture, the central post office, and the bank of Morocco are all situated in the area and gives more attraction to the tourists. The park square has lots of doves all around the place where you can also enjoy feeding them while taking pictures. There are also locals dressed in a traditional Moroccan attire where you pay around 10 dirhams to take a photo with them.










Church of Notre-Dame de Lourdes

The Church of Notre-Dame de Lourdes is a Catholic church built in the year 1956. The church is distinguished for its elongated concrete entrances and its striking stained-glass windows and is an example of European modern architecture.






Morocco Mall


Morocco Mall is the second-largest shopping mall in Africa with 200,000 square meter floor area situated in Casablanca.




Inside the mall is the "Aquadream" that features a massive aquarium that contains over 40 different species of fish. 





It also houses the "Adventureland" which has so may carnival-featured rides for kids to enjoy and also an ice skating rink for those who enjoy ice-blade gliding activities while in the mall.





and lots of branded boutiques and restaurants. . .







Philippine Consulate

The Philippines's consulate general in Casablanca is the only Philippine representation in Morocco. The address of the honorary consulate office is at 210 Bd. Abdelmoumen, Imm, G1 Res Le Jardin Abdelmoumen, Casablanca 20100
Morocco.
For all the Filipinos both working and tourists in Morocco, you can visit  the consulate office from 10am to 17:00pm.

    Thanks for the info. I'll definitely include those place to my itinerary. But one more thing, do you have any recommendation where to find pure argan oil and at the same time inexpensive?
